David West scored 24 points, while Desmond Mason netted 21 in the victory over the Bucks for New Orleans/Oklahoma City. Chris Paul scored eight points and dished out 14 assists in the win for the Hornets, who have won five of their last eight games overall.
The Hornets are 22-15 as the host this season. They will play reigning MVP Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns on Friday at the Ford Center.
Forward Peja Stojakovic (lower back) is doubtful for tonight's contest. Stojakovic, who is in his first season with the Hornets, is averaging 17.8 points in 13 games this season. The sharp-shooting Stojakovic last played on November 24th.
Seattle concludes a two-game road trip. On Tuesday, Bruce Bowen scored 18 points and Tony Parker ended with 16 points and six rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the SuperSonics, 110-91, at AT&T Center.
Chris Wilcox had 20 points to lead the Sonics, who have dropped two in a row after winning three straight. Rashard Lewis contributed 19 points in the loss for Seattle.
The SuperSonics are 10-26 on the road this season. Seattle is scheduled to host Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Friday at KeyArena.
This is the fourth and final meeting of the campaign between the Hornets and Seattle. The SuperSonics won two of the three contests this season, as they picked up a pair of victories at home. New Orleans/Oklahoma City defeated Seattle, 98-97, on February 23rd at New Orleans Arena.
Seattle has lost three straight after winning its last two at the Hornets.
